Choir

I Chronicles 25 shows the importance of music and musicians in God’s house. Verse 7 says they were skilled and trained in music for the Lord. In a day when choirs are being replaced by praise teams and praise bands, we are very happy to say that our choir is our praise team.

We worship with a blended service based on Colossians 3:16; “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God.”

Revelation 5:11 says: “Then I looked and heard the voice of many angels numbering thousands upon thousands.” It continues to say that they encircled the throne and the living creatures as they sang, “Worthy is the Lamb who was slain to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and praise.”

The praises of God’s people were a vital part of worship in the Old Testament, and according to the book of Revelation, we will be continually praising the Lamb. We are just preparing for that great day when we sing before our Savior and Lord.
