After 18 years of faithful ministry to our members, friends, and visitors, Dr. Merlin Berkey and his wife, June, have retired.

We thank them for their tireless ministering to this body of believers.

This website will continue to link to the archives of Dr. Berkey’s recorded sermons for your growth, edification, and study of God’s Word.

We who remain will be entering a new chapter for the ongoing ministry of First Baptist Church of Oakland Park. We covet your prayers as we seek God’s direction for our next Pastor.

Meanwhile, our pulpit will be filled by various men of God who will share the Word with us. The Gospel of Jesus Christ will continue to be preached at First Baptist Church of Oakland Park.
